We are pleased to offer a comprehensive program for children aged 4 to 5 years who have not yet enrolled in school. Our Pre-Kinder program is designed to help children develop early reading and writing skills, as well as key self-help skills that will prepare them for formal schooling.
At The Sandlot, we focus on developing children’s ability to make good decisions, even when their peers may not. We encourage them to be great members of their community and practice conflict resolution with minimal verbal direction from staff. Our aim is to help children become Superfriends who are able to navigate complex social situations with confidence and grace.
In addition to these important social and emotional skills, children in this age group will have the opportunity to take on leadership roles and become more patient while working with younger children. They will also learn self-sufficiency skills such as toileting, hand washing, dressing, table manners, and sitting for longer periods of time.
At The Sandlot, we provide a nurturing environment for preschoolers aged 3.5 to 4 years where they can continue to explore their self-expression through various activities such as music and movement, arts and crafts, circle time, games, dramatic play, outdoor play, blocks, science, and supervised play areas. We believe that every child is unique, and we strive to provide enriching experiences that cater to their individual needs and interests.
Our carefully planned activities are designed to support their cognitive, physical, and social-emotional development. We encourage self-expression and creativity through music and movement, where children can explore different rhythms and movements and learn to express themselves through dance. Our arts and crafts activities allow children to experiment with different textures and colors and develop their fine motor skills. During circle time, children can learn to communicate effectively, listen to others, and develop their language skills.
We understand that outdoor play is crucial for children’s development, and we have designed our outdoor play areas to provide a safe and stimulating environment where children can run, jump, climb, and explore. We also have a dedicated science area where children can learn about the world around them, conduct experiments, and develop their critical thinking skills.
At this age, children are becoming more independent and are always on the move. We help them develop their manipulative and coordination skills by providing them with plenty of fun activities like puzzles, sticking stickers, cutting, free expression, poetry, and songs. We believe that play is crucial in helping children develop self-care skills, including dressing themselves, cleaning up after themselves, and taking care of their belongings. By encouraging children to become more independent, we set them up for success when they move on to formal schooling.
We believe that young preschoolers aged between 2 to 3.5 years are capable of achieving great things with the right guidance and support. We understand that this age group has an insatiable appetite for learning and exploration, and we want to be a part of that journey.
Our curriculum covers social-emotional, cognitive, and physical learning, providing young preschoolers with hands-on experiences that stimulate their curiosity and creativity. We offer a range of activities such as arts, dramatic play, math, science, music, and movement to ensure that every child has a well-rounded learning experience.
As parents, we understand that you want the best for your child. Our potty training program is designed to help your child achieve an important milestone in their development. We work closely with parents to ensure that the child is ready for the transition, and our positive reinforcement approach ensures that the child remains motivated throughout the process.
At The Sandlot, we believe that young preschoolers learn best through play, and that’s why we don’t use worksheets or ditto sheets. Instead, we provide them with a safe and nurturing environment where they can learn at their own pace and explore the world around them.
Our ultimate goal is to provide young preschoolers with the foundation they need to succeed in life. Join us on this exciting journey and let us help your child achieve their full potential.
For children aged 16 months to 2 years, we provide a range of activities that encourage self-expression through imagination, sound, and experimentation with color, texture, and shape. Our focus is on helping toddlers understand their emotions and develop their relationships with other children through empathy and concern. At this age, toddlers experience rapid physical development, language acquisition, and exploration of social relationships and imaginative play.
In addition to group circle time with their peers, toddlers have dedicated time for stories, rhymes, and songs with their own age group or an older child as their leader. They also have separate play time with age-appropriate toys that enhance tactile and visual stimulation.
Our playroom is designed to encourage physical skills such as sitting, standing, and walking, with an environment of bright colors and appropriate toys to provide optimum stimulation for growth. As the child matures, the learning materials grow more complex. Music is an important element of the curriculum for every toddler, youngest to oldest, ensuring a great group experience for all.
We also incorporate areas such as art, large motor skills, and dramatic play to provide a day filled with exploration, visual and tactile stimulation for your toddler.
At our preschool, we prioritize the safety and well-being of your child above everything else. We have designed our classrooms with your child’s comfort and safety in mind. Our staff is highly trained and experienced to ensure that your child can explore, learn, and have fun with confidence.
We understand that each child is unique, with their own strengths and interests. Therefore, we have low student-to-teacher ratios to ensure that each child receives personalized attention, allowing them to excel academically, socially, and emotionally.
Our curriculum is designed to inspire curiosity, creativity, and a love for learning. We have various activities catering to different learning styles, ensuring that each child can explore and develop at their own pace.
We also inform you about your child’s daily activities, progress, and special events through open communication using the award-winning platform Brightwheel. Throughout the year, we plan regular parent-teacher conferences that provide opportunities for more in-depth discussions about your child’s development.
